Making the
World Whole
One Piece at a Time

Philanthropiece is pleased to partner with Making the World Whole to promote and encourage individuals to recognize that they are each a piece of the puzzle and connected to the greater whole. By taking responsibility for "our piece" of the puzzle we will in turn connect to the space that holds us all together and work to make the world a better place.

Making the World Whole has designed a jewelry pin that reflects the world as a puzzle, allowing each of us to claim our piece and contribute to making the world whole, one piece at a time. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this pin will be donated to Philanthropiece.

Please show your support of piecing together a better world and purchase your pin today!

Partnering Relationships

Cathy at FS Medical Clinic opening, Baja
Philanthropiece recognizes the value of productive partnering relationships and is always interested in exploring opportunities to collaborate with other organizations that share closely aligned objectives and goals.  As an operating foundation our work primarily involves hands on programs and projects at the developing community level.   Productive partnering relationships include working with other organizations on many levels, including knowledge sharing, dedication of time and effort, and financial support.  Philanthropiece is currently focused on working with, and in, underserved communities in North and Central America.   Is your organization doing similar work that might be enriched by a Philanthropiece partnership?  Tell us more at .

Community Liaisons

Baja California, MexicoPhilanthropiece has a volunteer abroad program, with placements currently in Laguna San Ignacio, Mexico and Chajul, Guatemala.  These volunteers, called Community Liaisons, work alongside local community leaders to support existing Philanthropiece projects and to identify appropriate new project areas that will assist communities in their development process.   Community Liaisons may bring unique practical, educational or technical skills to a project and often have had experience working with the Peace Corps or other international volunteer organizations.  These individuals make long term commitments (typically 1 year or more) to the communities we serve and share our vision for building healthy, sustainable communities.  They are an essential part of what we do at Philanthropiece, are vital to the success of our programs, and become engaged, active members of the communities they serve.   Interested in learning more about our Community Liaisons and upcoming opportunities for volunteering?  Write us at .

Knowledge Sharing

Philanthropiece strives to incorporate the best practices available in our work and is committed to sharing the lessons we learn. We believe the world will be a better place when organizations learn to work together toward common goals.  Our resources are most effective when we are able to collaborate and share comprehensive knowledge of the realities on the ground, allowing us to piece together the big picture.  Is your organization working in the field of international community development?   We would like to hear about what you are doing.  To share your insights, stories, successes and challenges, please send us an email at .
